turn ten has improved everything about this game. the only thing i don’t like are the auctions trying to buy a car and the owner pulls it right before you win because they feel like they did not get enough for it and that’s after you fought somebody for over an hour with 2 minutes remaining. turn ten should have made it so at two hours there wasn’t an extension it is really frustrating and a waist of time. the graphics are the best of ANY GAME. the handling is perfect and the cockpit mode is the best. they improved the painting mode and you can make your own vinals easier. also you can buy other people’s artwork. quick upgrade is awesome except that sometimes it gives you not needed pieces that hinder performance.

Forza 3 is a great game with a bunch of content that will give you lots of rich entertainment. There are a bunch of 1, 2, & 3 star ratings here that are completely understandable due to the fact that it seems like Turn10 has left big chunks of game play on the editing room floor (i.e., no lesser class car multiplayer, no local leader board, matchmaking instead of hosting, no off road “dust”, etc). There was every reason to assume that past favorite content would come forward with the new release and it’s strange that it didn’t. I’m no expert, but these missing pieces seem like too big of omissions to simply fix with a patch or DLC. I’m not holding my breath. And certainly Turn10 isn’t man-ing up yet with solutions.
That said, this game still rocks with the content that it came with (which is rich and plentiful and, in many ways expanded from Forza 2, if not complete). While I’m disappointed with what’s not there, I think a fair rating for what the game is should be a 4 or 5. It’s still very good, but not what it could be nor what many of us expected it to be.

I have never played Forza 2, but played the original Forza and am a fan of the GT series on PS as well. As with the previous review, the graphics are excellent. OXM stated that they are “high end” PC graphics and would agree. They are not video-like, but are very close. The detail of the road and on the track is great. The fans and background are very good, maybe a slight bit better than the NFS series, but in a grander sense.
The gameplay is top notch. I am not an expert racer and the assists do make the game fun. The rewind feature is nice once you gradually turn off the assists. The game reminds me of the first as you could use this to train you to be a better (or more efficient) driver.
The car and track depth is great. I would liken the interface to the one that Codemasters added to Dirt and the openness of play to Test Drive Unlimited. I would at least pick this up as a rental. Consider as a purchase as well, since it is a deep game. The extra disc does pose a problem to those with a 20GB HD or none at all as it takes up almost 2GB.

When a developer makes a newer version of a game ‘more accessible’, that is usually code for ’shafting the hardcore. This is one of those games that was able to make their game more accessible without shafting the hardcore. I love the new Forza. Graphically, it is better than the last couple, but will probably fall short when compared to the upcoming new Gran Tourismo. But, even with that, I think Forza will reign supreme out of the two.
Turn 10 created a real masterpiece here. But even masterpieces have minor flaws. I am not really diggin’ the new marketplace setup. I am also not sure how I feel about the new event calendar? Other than those two gripes, what they achieved with this game, not only graphically, but in the gameplay department is nothing short of BRILLIANT.You have undoubtedly seen the reviews, videos, and advertisements. So, the only question is, if you are a racing fan, why in the hell haven’t you bought this yet? If you own a 360, and you like racing games, this is a necessary must have title for your 360 library. This is one of those titles that gives HUGE value for your money. A game like this you never complete.

Like I said above best racing game I’ve ever played. This game is closely followed by Need For Speed Shift. Pick this up the way it looks so far it is a very long game that will keep you playing for hours. Graphics are eye candy. 10/10
